I chose this clip from the ring because I thought it was clever the way the camera focused on just the feet as she was walking up the corridoor towards the mysterious noises and towards danger. The camera also focuses on the water on the floor. and this shows how the water on the floor was not meant to be there. I also liked the way the camera focused the girls hand on the door handel hesitating to open the door. This tells the audience to be scared by building up the tension. The sound in this scene is quiet slow non diegetic music. This music builds up to something bigger which is about to happen. The very first part of this scene, the sound was just the TV crackerling noises. I found this was a good effect to get people scared because it showed us that the film was about something in that TV.
